When God sent the rainbow as a sign he told Noah and his sons "...be ye fruitful and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth..." and "I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth." That's a cheering thought.
And it's a cliche that today's youth are the hope of the future. But they said that about those that brought about the First World War, and then the Second twenty years later, and so on. So don't get too carried away by the idea. But don't let's be cynical. The pessimists could be proved wrong.

(This helps a bit to distinguish among the Pauls, a common name in the family - our father had a brother called Paul as well).

As usual the roots of this family tree are at the top and the branches below. Nobody seems to find this odd. It should be seen as a skeleton which will have flesh put on it later.
I am reliant on others for information about my brothers' children and do my best to get it right. Complaints are always likely when you say things about the living. (For instance, I have already had a complaint from a brother that I have laid claim to the family piss-artistry prize which he feels should rightly be his. That topic can be pursued elsewhere).
